We are delighted to announce the publication of the latest issue of Images Secondes, dedicated to the intriguing intersection of cinema and financial speculation. Among the featured articles, “Financial Speculation through the Tokenization of Intellectual Property in Cinematographic Works” explores the evolving role of tokenization in the film industry.
To mark this occasion, we invite you to join us for the official launch event on Thursday, February 20th, at 6 PM in the Claude Simon Room at Sorbonne Nouvelle University. The evening will feature a thought-provoking lineup of screenings and performances, including Noah Teichner’s film-essay Slapstick Speculation and a live performance of Speculations. An Adventure of Bouvard & Pécuchet. Additionally, a curated selection of classic and contemporary films will shed light on the complex relationship between finance and the moving image.
Following the screenings, attendees will have the opportunity to engage with the filmmakers and contributors during a reception. This event is a unique chance to delve into the themes explored in the issue and to celebrate the remarkable editorial work of Occitane Lacurie & Barnabé Sauvage.
We look forward to welcoming you to an evening of cinematic exploration and discussion!
